I Have A Question About Moving Into Dorms?
I am planning on attending a four year university in the fall. I will be going there as a transfer student in their junior year. I finished a degree at a community college. I will be moving into a dorm room and I was wondering whether I move in when the returning students move in or when the new students move in. I don’t know which date I should move in because I will be a new student at the college, but I am also transferring in as a junior. I’m confused. Someone help please.

If you are entering as a junior, you should move in with the returning students unless the school has a special day for transfers. As someone who’s already been to college for 2 years, they expect you to not need the kind of handholding a 17 or 18 year old kid would get as freshmen. Plus your roommates will most likely be upperclassmen like you, not freshmen, so you should move in when they do.

Do what ever pleases you. The first thing you should do is to not confuse yourself.
I would suggest moving in on the first or second possible day.
This should be available on your school’s website (:
well i attend a CSU and the way our dorms are set up is you can move in anytime during the first move in date up until whenever you want i would however recommend that you move in on the first day because they explain everything and it is just the most informative day but just in case your schools different call your housing department

You’ll most likely be moving in with other students. Contact the residential staff at your new college through their website, they usually have a FAQ section and will be happy to asnwer any questions from incoming students.
