Get rid of any and everything that you don’t use. It ends up creating clutter later!! I wonder how I occumulate all of this stuff!

Label your boxes very specifically. Not just what room they are going in but a list of the general contents. Also, take this opportunity to throw away/give away items you no longer need or want. Don’t pack anything you don’t want to keep.

pack EVERYTHING in a box makes it so much easier than moving bags of loose items around..
ask as many of your friends to help as possible …many hands make light work …..
and definitely get a good nights sleep the night before!!!! dont do last min packs

Congrats on the first apartment. Its a thrill huh?
    Ok, heres some tips:
mark the boxes (obviously) by room. move to the room on the box
move the heavy stuff first. You’ll still be able to move light stuff when you’re tired.
get as many friends as you can to help. more hands makes it fun and easier.
    enjoy. it’ll get done.
my favorite was, we had two slender glass candles. We put them in the hollow parts of rolls of paper towels and they survived intact.
good luck to you. I wish you much happiness!

When you pack your boxes put a number on the box, then on a sheet of paper put the number of that box with a list of item inside that box. That way when you need something before you completely get unpacked and set up you can go to the coresponding box and get what you need instead of going through a number of boxes. Also put all the boxes in the rooms where they belong..that way you won’t have to move them twice. Good luck and enjoy your new apartment..just don’t stress over it..
    Hope this helps..

  6. Pack your things in labeled boxes so you don’t have to open them to see and you can put them right into the correct rooms. Make a list of all the people you need to notify. Get LOTS of help if you can. De clutter, give away any crap you don’t need to local shelters or organizations. Decide together where tings will go before you get there. It can be stressfull so you dont want to be arguing your first day together..Good luck, and congrats on the new place

start packing now. Label boxes as to what is in them (bedroom) (kitchen)(living room), etc.
Move the boxes so labeled into the correct rooms right away… don’t just deposit everything in the first room you come to.

Make a special box. Put toilet paper, wash clothes, towels, a set of clothes for each of you.
You will need the TP before you realize it.
You never know how dirty or sweaty you will get from moving or “other” things.
Clothes for after you move, or in case you want to go out to eat.
You will be surprise how you can’t seem to find the basics when you move.
